So, I have a situation on a 3.3 Bounty Builder tournament, where guy steals a lot and I have quite good hand on the Big blind. On this certain situation, should I shove, or just call? He has been stealing 50% of the time (only 113 hands sample tho), but what worry me is that he is not open shoving his 15bb stack, so he is either stealing or traping with strong hand. Also, there is a little fold equity since he is so short.
What I would like to ask is, is there any theory, any mathematical formula maybe for calculating our EV and our expected value in this situations? I find my self in trouble from time to time in those spots and I would really like to improve in those spots, since they show up often in tournaments.
