SH 99, Set on 3-Suited Turn

I would usually bet turn too. He has some single spade hands and straight draws too. When you check call turn and check river you are capped and villain can easily rep a straight.
On the other hand this turn card is not nice. Betting turn would be better if the card was Qs for example.. So I guess overall you played this fine.

Well played on all streets; Betting the turn is also an option but a shitty spot when raised. I think that you're going to be checking this turn a very large % of the time from a total range perspective (you can check here with stuff like AsAx or whatever if you decided to c-bet that hand). Betting the turn is nice because it makes your river decisions fairly simple (c/f-ing bad cards such as 4-straights and spades and maybe doing something else on bricks). Furthermore, if you bet the turn, he could still call with hands like 8s8x, 5s5x, 67, 9xTs, and other type of hands and betting the turn would also probably be good to help balance some of your turn bets with stuff like the AsKx or whatever.

Overall, vs. a nittier/standard BTN player like this one, I think you can probably just bet the turn? If he raises, he should have a set a very large % of the time. Bet/folding OTT seems extremely gross and I don't know if we can do it (maybe vs. this guy since he's tighter). I think I like check/calling the turn more vs. super aggressive players who are willing to turn hands into bluffs and also semi bluff the turn.

It's reasonable to assign him suited connectors, alright.
