SB: $26.14 (104.6 bb)
BB: $13.85 (55.4 bb)
UTG: $25.10 (100.4 bb)
MP: $19.35 (77.4 bb)
CO: $63.17 (252.7 bb)
Hero (BTN): $47.47 (189.9 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with Q♥: Q♣:
2 folds, CO raises to $0.75, Hero raises to $2.20, 2 folds, CO calls $1.45

Flop: ($4.75) 7♠: 9♦: 3♥: (2 players)
CO bets $1.50, Hero raises to $3.30, CO calls $1.80

Turn: ($11.35) 9♠: (2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets $5, CO raises to $24, Hero???

Preflop: 3bet for value. CO is unknown, playing 100/33 in 4 hands. I think the size should be a bit bigger, given the stack sizes.

Flop: When he donks that small, I think that raising for value is fine. Again the size should probably be bigger.

Turn: He shouldn't have many 9x hands in his range so I probably have the best hand often. I think he mostly has something like AK, JJ, TT, maybe hands like 87, A7. So, I decided to bet a bit below 1/2 to get payed by those, but then he raised. Now I have two options: folding or shoving (if I call, river SPR would be 1:6) When he raised like that after his small flop donk, I think I will most often be against 77, 33 and 9x (occasionally against KK+). I don't expect an unknown to bluff AK in this situation. On the other hand, it doesn't make sense that he is raising those, he could probably get more value by trapping in the long run (and probably betting river).

I like how you played pre flop and post flop, but at turn i dont like your play at all. No reason for betting on the turn when board paired. I would just check the turn and call the river bet. Theres way more hands that beats you than hands you dominate that also calls your bet. So by checking you are controlling the pot.
As played Its pretty easy fold when facing a check raise. At this spot you mostly are up against 9x hands or full house.

OTF against a good villain I would not raise. Against a fish it is probably ok. 4 hands is extremely little though.. So if you raise OTF because he is a fish and you get value from weaker hands, then maybe you shouldn't think he doesn't have many 9x :)

I am voting for passive play here.
When the board paired isn't it better to xb turn?

To me you played it fine. Turn is a fold, he actually has some 9x in his range and he might fastplay them to make it look like a bluff and make over pairs call.

I have not read anything except the HH.

Now, the flop raise must be on the theory that he is either drawing or has hit pretty much precisely 9X (with X an overcard). Why else do you raise?

Then when the 9 hits and he check-raises big, then he definitely is either drawing or holding crème de la crème nuts. I'd pack my tents and fade off into the night.

Given then flop play, the prudent play on turn is to check behind. Unlike many, I don't think the second 9 on the board cuts down on the chances of him holding trips. It rather improves it:D

Not sure what exactly he could have, but if I only call vs his 1/3 donk with (imo) mostly the best hand, then I'm giving him the chance to set his price to pay with worse hands and realise his equity cheaper, i.e. he is determining how much value do I get with the best hand. If he 3bets, them I'm done with my hand, but usually when they donk with that size, I want to raise an overpair (get value and protect my equity).

I don't hate checking the turn back, but I believe that we would have to call some rivers, or are we checking with intention of giving up every time on the river, putting him on trips or better exclusivelly in case he bets? I decided to bet/fold the turn (setting the price myself) and check back most rivers (or fold if he bets) and put as much money into the pot as I consider appropriate with the relative strenght of my hand.

I have nothing against the logic, and I think bet-folding turn is reasonable too. We'd definitely have to call some rivers if we check back. I just thought calling the turn raise would be awful.
