Hero (SB): $2.91 (145.5 bb)
BB: $5.53 (276.5 bb)
UTG: $1.91 (95.5 bb)
MP: $9.49 (474.5 bb)
CO: $2.46 (123 bb)
BTN: $2.18 (109 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 4♠: 4♦:
UTG folds, MP raises to $0.06, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.05, BB folds

Flop: ($0.14) 4♣: 9♦: 6♦: (2 players)
Hero checks, MP bets $0.09, Hero raises to $0.28, MP raises to $0.58, Hero raises to $1.88, MP raises to $9.43 and is all-in, Hero calls $0.97 and is all-in

Can I ever fold here? When he 3 bets us I would give him a range of QQ+,99,66,A2d+,KTd+,QTd+,JTd at this limit. Then I have 70 % equity. When he goes all-in I think we are up against a better set. But do you think there will ever be a pair of aces or kings and maybe 78d that would make this a profitable call?

Turn: ($5.84) A♥: (2 players, 2 are all-in)
River: ($5.84) T♦: (2 players, 2 are all-in)

Results:

Spoiler

$5.84 pot ($0.20 rake)
Final Board: 4♣: 9♦: 6♦: A♥: T♦:
Hero showed 4♠: 4♦: and lost (-$2.91 net)
MP showed 9♥: 9♣: and won $5.64 ($2.73 net)

I think flop 3bets are often very very strong and I wouldn't put many (if any) flush draws in that range. So the range you gave him is imo waaaaay too wide.
Usually when you hit a set OTF you want to go broke. But when the action is like this, there is a 4bet and a 5bet shove OTF, and you hold a bottom set... I'm really not sure.

I would say his range is better sets and overplayed QQ+. Maybe.

My two cents at this spot.
I think you can't fold a set. Villain is going to go broke with JJ+, AXs, KJs+ at that flop. Set over set happens sometimes but is highly unlikely.
If you play with stats you might want to 3bet mp, if he folds enough…

There are possible combo draws.
I might donk with our set here.
As played, you cannot fold, you will see both turn and river.
Remember that set vs set situations are rare, but still can happen. Do not bother much and move on.
