The dynamics of cash games and tournament poker are quite different, and therefore require a different strategy. This is why many pros choose to focus on one of these formats in their career and stick with it.
Both cash games and tournaments can be played profitably, so your choice is mostly down to your own preferences and there is no shame in sticking to tournaments if you feel that they suit you better. But if you want to improve your cash game skills, I recommend this Overview of NL Lessons. Even for tournament players, a solid cash strategy can be useful in the early stages of some MTTs, especially deep stack tourneys.
Of course, there is plenty of material on tournament poker as well, so feel free to ask if you need some recommendations.
