Have i gone wrong?

im sturggling with preflop call ranges but calling IP cant be too bad, although kqo is pretty bad for equity so bottom of my range. felt flop was too dry but think i can still fold. Turn is obv call. River is a bit sick. I felt he could be turning underpair into a bluff, but maybe i just need to believe opponents.

It’s too bad we don’t know anything of our villain here. Pre-flop is indeed close to call against an unknown.
On the flop, I would most likely fold. I expect his range is most likely based of over pairs and in best case against AQ+.

The river is indeed nasty, but you only beat a flush draw I think and you blocking A♠:Q♠:. Than you beat most likely only A♠:T♠: and I wouldn’t be surprised he doesn’t 3bet that ether and I would fold the river.

Without seeing spoiler: When BB raises, he is on average, a bit stronger so we should be careful. I don't think we can call 3 streets with TPGK but that is just gut feeling.

Seeing spoiler: Pfew, that is not a bit stronger :f_biggrin: Well it is just gut feeling to not call the river but sometimes the call could be good. He could play TT or JJ the same way actually.

Well, I dont see him playing tt, jj this way. Call pre is standard for me. Otf I like callin. This flop hits our range way more than villains. Ott we cant fold, we could push it maybe. But call is perfectly fine imo. Otr - clear fold for me. We beat nothing now. Maybe some fd, but u will see rarely bluffs especially on this run out imo.

Btw i think villain overplayed his aa.

Edit. Actually i like fold ott, esp when we have q of clubs. If we hadnt q of clubs it could be a decent bluff if we shove maybe?

Hi Mozzek,

And may I know why you don't see villain playing TT or JJ this way? :f_tongue:

Well isnt it overplay with these hands? We have a lot of 9x. And also some kx. So the turn card aint really good for tt or jj right? Why would he 3 barrel it?

I agree it is a bit overplay and I do think it is a very risky move. However, I believe villain still could try and make us fold Kx hands and possibly any called QQ. However, as I said, I'd fold anyway because normally it isn't the standard play.
