Poker Stars, $0.01/$0.02 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players

SB: $3.65 (182.5 bb)
BB: $9.43 (471.5 bb)
UTG: $1.90 (95 bb)
Hero (MP): $2.35 (117.5 bb)
CO: $2 (100 bb)
BTN: $2 (100 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP with Q♥: K♥:
UTG folds, Hero raises to $0.06, CO calls $0.06, 2 folds, BB calls $0.04
Happy to open this from UTG and get 2 callers

Flop: ($0.19) Q♣: 8♣: 8♠: (3 players)
BB bets $0.09, Hero calls $0.09, CO folds
BB donks less than half pot and I am thinking he has a flush draw or perhaps a Q - With a small bet I think I get good odds to call.

Turn: ($0.37) 7♦: (2 players)
BB bets $0.08, Hero calls $0.08
On the turn, get an even smaller bet with a blank, so pretty sure I am calling here too. The fact he doesn't raise higher points more to a draw or does it look like he is possibly slowplaying?

River: ($0.53) K♠: (2 players)
BB bets $0.26, Hero calls $0.26
Again a half-pot bet on the the river and I am pretty sure I am not letting go with two-pair at this point. Question is was calling best - or should I have re-raised?

Preflop: Obvious standard

Flop: Is it a regular or a fish that is donkbetting? 99% of the time i don't see regulars donking here, so i assume it's a fish.
I would just call this donkbet, fish sizings often don't mean that much, some even donkbet minsize and show up with a 8 here. It's quite fish dependant... Besides, what would you do if he 3bets OTF?
Turn: You could go with a raise here, but it's still on the loose side, same question as on the flop, what if he reraises..
River: He either has a missed draw or an 8 basicly now with his line so raising would be quite thin in general.

As always with these non-standard lines, make notes of hands he shows up with for future reference if you play with him again. If he shows up with some weak draw or QT, in the future you can raise the turn with MUCH more confidence, now it's more a guessing game.

I would say this was pretty standard from pre to river. I would play it the same way.

I agree that the sizing should should be disregarded villain might be worried about "scaring you away" despite holding say, A8 or K8. I think the river was great, raising would be hard to justify (at least for value).

If we're betting for value we are always asking : can I get worse hands to call on this board? And if so which? Given that this is a paired board it is a little thin as your two pair may only best some top/middle pairs and missed draws. Calling is fine because you have showdown value but I'm guessing you ran into a set of 8s..:)? Did you?

Pretty standard how was played. Play same way because you have a good showdown value.

He is a fish with 471.5 bb, so I wouldn't raise anywhere. What for? Value? "Protection"? Please! Maybe think about moving in as a bluff to fold out 98 and such if you believe you can do that. I don't.

YohanN7, I don't understand your point! You don't think that hero has value to bet?

Calling little less than half pot flop is sound indeed. No need to go full "I raise any donk so 2010" way and all indeed.
Nonetheless, when facing less than a quarter turn you begin to have a value raise quite clearly drawn.

Hero can't value bet since he is bet into. Hero can raise though. I wouldn't.
