Fighting re-steals (work in progress)

I'm experimenting with 3bet resteals and how to fight them.
The Idea is that you float one or show aggression so when a draw-heavy board hit I decided to raise.

Sometimes I have success, sometimes not but definitely no disasters so far.
I really think the road to crushing 2NL tables is 'opponent reading' in combination with hard (semi) bluffing.
I am really not saying I played this hand well. For me it is an interesting hand. Maybe for somebody else too.

Villain took his time and then called so I thought I was eh.. 'filet' and I put him on AA KK QQ JJ for that.
On the turn I looked at my stack and then at the pot and I what I thought was that I was pot committed so I jammed.
(I would *not* have called an all in but I do not know if that is right to lay down in that case, I think so though :f_wink:.

Of course I got lucky but found it really interesting to see the jam work.
Also when you turn things around.. For him It should looks crazy scary but he should have called not? To me he looks pot committed too.

Really random bluff, I don't get it and you are really lucky he manages to fold KK

If you want to study 3bet resteals spots I recommend Matthew Janda videos (available on Youtube), pecularly the series "3bet pots" and "COvsBUvsBlinds".

The key to good bluffing is to select good hands. As MyFloXyBabY said this was really random :f_biggrin:
You have a lot of better hands to bluff with.

I think you are also lucky that you are playing against a regular, because against a random NL2 player this will newer work I think. Also, you are committing yourself on the flop with a min raise and he gets good odds to call the turn shove as well.

You can say a lot about my play here agree, but not that I was lucky because I was playing a regular...
That was the whole point of it wasn't it?

Well... I'm not the only one experimenting :f_biggrin:

I think I raised only 2BB preflop to make calling a 3bet cheaper.
This all in the 'fighting 3 bets' context.
