6 Max or Full Ring Online

So im sure this has been beaten to death, and there is no right answer, but what do you prefer, 6 Max or Full Ring?

I have mostly been playing 6 Max, but its so frustrating at times because if you go card dead, it becomes an endless nightmare of just paying blinds at such a high frequency. Then it gets even more frustrating when you finally get dealt a good hand, and you preflop raise and everyone folds, or your in the BB, and everyone folds to you and you dont get to play. You just watch your self losing money without even getting to play.

On the other hand, Full Ring you have to play with a much tighter range, which can get boring as you wait for a while to get into a hand, however your not paying blinds every 4 minutes.

So what do you guys play, and why? What do you prefer. I am on the fence about this.

Hey ldmariodl28,

This confuses me even as an MTT player. I would like to think that I am a TAG, but I'm tighter than that (nit) and always thought my best option would be slow/regular speed FR freezeouts.

However, the majority of my best results are in 6-Max turbos. :f_confused:

I personally enjoy 6max more. More tables, more action.
If your opponents play more loose and you see the flop more often you can make more money if you are better than the others.

I can't give you a good answer here since I have no experience in playing full ring :f_biggrin
I guess you just have to try both and see which you like better.

You can do whatever you want, obviously but as we told you over there: Play 6max online. You get more volume, there's more 6max running so you have a deeper game selection, you get better at the game faster, you rake more and clear bonus's more efficiently, and you're playing NLHE shorthanded cash: That's as raw as poker gets. There's a ton of post flop play, history on villain/hero, adaptation, deceit, etc. Of course, every variant of poker is complex and has it's own set of things to master but shorthanded and heads up cash is the real deal.

The thing is that you say "card dead". So you just fold if you don't like your hand? No other considerations? This is where the journey into shorthanded begins. You can't just sit back and wait on 99+.
