If I was to join a poker site that gave me 500 strategy points would this make me a silver star and if so how many months would I stay at that level. Many Thanks Chris.

Hey Chris,
You would gain Silver status for a calendar month. This means that if you were to do this today, you would receive the upgraded status for the full month of November. However, we will upgrade you as soon as we receive confirmation from the poker room so there are opportunities to maximise your time at Silver.
When I wanted to upgrade to Silver, I would use our 10 bonus point promotion. Earn 1SP in a day (about .25c-40c rake of fees, depending on room) and we will give you 10 bonus points. So you can be Silver in 9-10 days without even trying.
If you achieve it early in the month, then you'll also get your new status for the rest of that month and the following month.
