So this board is pretty good for the bb def range. and vs his high cards good canditate to x r bluff esp with the 8 of diamonds. Also got the king which can lead to top pairs and blocks some KK combos. Juit take down the pot immidiate is great accomplish. If he is decent reg he will bet this with some Ahigh to balance but prob a little higher than 2.5 bb? will he got consistent bet sizings?
I can with some big draws just call to control the pot. f.e. 85 diamonds. dont know how much influences it the equation.

ott: i ll bet with all the flushes to get value from his made and drawing hands. so should bet here with my bluffs.

otr: sure no dream situation. but cant bet only with value so which hands to bluff? Kx8d is great candidate no? can think of better may Adxx?

for sure not standard this hand. but does bring standard you to the top?

I don’t know why you would defend K8o out of position against a UTG range. Especially against a unknown I would play it safe and just fold. I don’t think you can play K8o profitable on long run.

Although antes' make pot odds better for defending, against UTG and this early I wouldn't bother defending. The K will cost you more than it will make overall.

As played you can fold out A high type hands but all the over pairs are going nowhere and you have nothing but an overcard and backdoor 4 to a straight and weak flush. When he calls the flop the diamond can make you flushes in his eyes but you can't rule out Ax diamonds from his range either. If not giving up on turn i give up river when he has just over 1/2 pot stack left.

I agree that it somewhat light bb defend pre.

Post i don't like check-raise this hand. Basically because when you have so many draws possible in your range on wet board you can be more picky about your c-r bluffs. Plus It not like there is ton value hands you need balance when you c-r on this board.
You can choose combo draws/flush draws/oesd before c-r 8dkx. Even Kd8x would be better pick.
As played would give up somewhere on turn or river as this have to be one of our worse bluffs what get to later street.

Overall i think you will be over-bluffing when you do this play with this hand.
