PokerStars 0,50$ Fullring Turbo, KJs in a multiway pot

Hi everyone,

here I have KJs and decide to complete in the SB after two limpers. The flop brings me an OESD and I am first to act. I checked and everyone else checked behind. The Turn brings a J, so I add a second-pair to my OESD. Nevertheless the board is pretty wet. Would you bet out like 1.75 - 2BB in this spot? Or would you already bet the flop to try to take down the pot immediately?

I think that you can bet like half pot or a bit more to see how strong your opponents are but if you think that someone could be more agressive and raise it's better to check, control the pot and try a free card. But after everyone check i think you have to bet, you have second pair+OESD and none of them shows strenght. If you anyone calls re-evaluate river (it depends on river card) and if you face a raise i just fold.

The turn card is a tricky one, because it’s easy possible someone is checking a hand like T9 on the flop and I would play it safe against 3 players and just check it and her-evaluate on further action, because it’s tough to get value in a spot like this and you don’t want to be raised of the hand.

Preflop raise would be option also. Flop check is best and I would bet around 3BB on turn for value and protection.

Pre-flop raising is an option, but with 2 fishy players on CO and BTN it’s likely you will play often a big pot out of position. I don’t think that’s something I like, because we will miss the flop a decent amount of the time and if we hit well it’s likely we get a lot of value with betting post-flop.
