How to deal with fish

Hi All,
I'm not completely new to poker but have been away from it for about 5/6 years after becoming disillusioned. I have recently been venturing back but see many things haven't changed. I have trouble dealing with the fish that are found at every table. I mostly play SnG and do ok at them but can't find the best way over calling station types. As a for instance in the last SnG I played I am dealt A 10s on the button, I raise 4 times the blind and get called by K 3o and K 7o, the flop brings A 10 Jo. So with my 2 pair I bet the pot, they both call because they have a draw to a straight and ain't letting that go no matter what. the turn comes 4 so I bet the pot and they both call. The river comes Q and gives them both their straight, I'm near as dam it out now from 2 knobs that shouldn't have been in from the start. This happens time after time, how do you avoid these people, just fold everything until they knock each other out ? because you can't bet them off silly hands and end up stuffed yourself. I won't say the software is skewed but the amount of times muppets are rewarded puts me off.

Hi Pinaar,
Welcome to PokerStrategy.com!

You have done a good job of outlining the classic dilemma of poker.

The stock answer goes like this...

If I am in this situation a thousand times, I will win 60% of them, so I won't worry about this one

Do you believe this? If so, no problem.
However humans have something called "hindsight bias". This is where you base future predictions on the most recent outcomes. We have other biases too.

I suggest -- since you like SnGs -- that you read the Strategy section. The game has changed somewhat in the time you've been away and it may be necessary to adjust your play a bit. The link points to the whole SnG course, so you can skip over the basics -- though it wouldn't hurt to review them, either.

Don't ignore the =en&language[]=en"]videos,
and be certain to check the coaching schedule for upcoming live coaching sessions by Collin Moshman.

All the best,

There are a good video series available for "global" called "Push or Fold" from Steinek.

According to Google Translate, the language is Hungarian.
Also according to Google Translate, it reads:

Six of the fish can not do much to do. Or they're gonna blush or not. On my party cup I got my $ 215 ticket to buy my bubble drill, the fish gave me a smooth asz parra and a wondrous miracle to a lapped the color

I have absolutely no response.

Thanks for posting, dealer1109. Normally we use English in the English forum. If you would rather post in Hungarian, there is the Hungarian forum.

It happening all time. But you should play game on your way. Because sometime you lose, but on more tournaments you will much more than you lose.
