very low winrate at the BTN

Hi,

I have had a very good start into this poker year and am quite happy about it. Whats weird is that my winrate on the BTN is by far the lowest, besides the blinds. I have only played about 10k hands so far so I think a lot of this could be due to variance (unfortunately), but it feels as if I would be doing something wrong here.

Are there any relevant stats I should be looking for? Maybe a lot of them wouldn't be very meaningful with this small sample size. Or are there any common mistakes for the play at the button? I am using the preflop ranges from w34z3l's 6max walkthrough, call 3bet/4bet I still do mostly by (maybe flawed) intuition though.

So you have a 0.24bb/hand so that would be 24bb/100 winrate, right?

It is a bit low but it has a lot to do with the sample size. It looks like your CO winrate would be 85bb/100 and MP&EP over 40bb/100 and those numbers are a bit high :f_biggrin::f_biggrin: You would have to play at least 100k hands before you start getting some idea of your overall winrate and to get good positional winrates you need even more of course.
I suggest you wait until you have at least 10k hands per position (60k hands total) and then check again how things have developed. You might see some big differences.

There are some stats that help figure out what is going on but as you already guessed, those are not meaningful in this sample. The stats you see now probably are very much different after just 10k more hands.

My suggestion is that you keep on playing and studying and then after you have a bit bigger sample you can start looking for possible leaks that you can plug.
