NL25 6Max Zoom, weak two pair, value line, BTN vs CO

The problem with thin value bets OTR in position is that it opens the betting round again and you can get raised. And you don't know if the guy attacks your small sizing and bluffs or if he has a stronger hand. And you often have to fold. That means betting small doesn't have that much different EV than just checking and seeing the showdown. So I would say as a general rule, if you don't feel comfortable betting at least about half pot for value, you can just check behind. Different thing vs passive calling stations or if you think villain just doesn't bluff raise your small bets here.

I like the sizings. There aren't any obvious draws that missed so we often have value here when we bet. Villain won't raise us light because of that and our range is uncapped.

If you're getting raised OTR you were beat anyway, but he'll often mehhh call with 1pair hands vs this sizing.

Yea I do agree that people often do not raise light here. And the bet size is not so small that it would induce many bluffs. So in this case I believe everything should be fine.

If villain folds too much to 3bets (like 60%), we can 3bet this hand preflop. Also, if there is an aggressive player behind, we are better to 3bet preflop than just call because we can expect to be squeezed alot. There is a player on the SB which looks to be capable of squeezing, so I think we could even 3bet. Villain's range looks capped. I would say he has something like QQ-77, 98s-76s, AQs-ATs, AQo OTF and QQ-TT, 87s, AQs-ATs,AQo OTT. So he has 1 pair OTR almost always and stronger than that almost never, which means we have the best hand close to 100% of the time. So I like thinking about getting more value. With the bet of a bit under 1/2 I guess he is calling all Ax and maybe some QQ-TT. He is usually not turning any hand I mentioned he could have into a bluff (would be cool for him if he does, though), so I like the thin value cbet. Maybe we can even make it 1/2 because he is probably calling the same amount of Ax and folding the same amount of 3rd pairs.

Yeah, the title was wrong so I edited it. I'm on BTN not the BB. I think this would be a fine 3bet also. I don't know why I just flatted preflop.
