I was betting for value + protection.
Villain has 50% of fold to cbet (14/7), but to call that cbet on that spot, I thought he'd had a TP (AJ, KJs, QJs) or something like a middle pair + a str8 draw (T9s, QTs).
I believe a set would've raised there, but I may be wrong.
Not sure about JT.
Hero bets 9 BB, fold, BTN calls 9 BB
Turn: (31.5 BB, 2 players) J♣

Now any flopped TP is ahead of me, but I thought my hand still had SD value and, in the worst case scenario, I could improve to a FH...
So rather than play bet/fold, my option was to play check/call.
Hero checks, BTN bets 16.5 BB, Hero calls 16.5 BB

Spoiler
At this point, after a turn bet of 1/2 pot and a cbet of 2/3, I could only believe I was behind.
Not sure if villain would do that with a busted draw + a pair.
Hero checks, BTN bets 43 BB, fold

BTN wins 60.5 BB
