This calls from the SB...
I felt I play it too passively.
I think a 3bet OTT is the best? I can have JJ or QQ, he can't. A flushdraw is also weird. He should 3bet his Ax's suited pre.
River he bets 1/2 after a check-raise OTT, but I don't know. Bet/call OTT and raise his bet OTR? Should I turn my hand into a bluff? Flush hits, so I decided to fold.

this doesn't seem that great of a hand to turn into a bluff, if you ask me

Fold OTT? IP?
OOP I can understand, but IP...?
I'm noticing I'm getting passive and passive. Calls and calls over calls. This hand is the proof.
Do you guys know any member of the forum that is winning big at monster stakes? I mean really really high. I have some questions for a player of those limits.

Bet/fold OTT. Never dare 3bet that. Moreover at NL10. What are you hoping to beat ? Can you see bluffs here ? I can see 66-88-T9 and maybe QJ but no real bluffs. You are so screwed lol.

What are you calling monster stakes ? It's hard to find people playing really high on this forum I'm afraid...

yeah, as far as the population is concerned i am also snap-turbo-folding the turn btw, but i found op's reasoning VERY interesting.
are you considering trying to make him fold 66? look at this madman

Spoiler

you are making WAY too many assumptions about the way villain is playing his ranges here. you definitely can't totally discard Axs, or even all the JJ and QQ. you can discount some, but not completely remove them

A check-raise in this spot beats AQ everytime?
I know NL10 is the nitland of the nitlands. That's why I folded OTR.
The range assumption Tom is talking about is totally right and is a leak of my own. A major leak and I see no way to fix this.
Forget I said something about turning my hand into a bluff and make a NL10 player to fold 66 for instance. It's not happening, ever.
I don't know why I try to make them fold anything. They bet, they have it. They check-raise, cavalry has arrived at the scene.
I lost 5 BI today with KK in preflop shoves. They had AA the entire time :mdr:
Monster stakes would be something like NL5000+.

Bet/fold turn is probably the best option. Also, what is with the small sizings, what is the reasoning behind that ?

Well, what would you want him to check/raise with that you beat ? What would YOU check/raise with that AQo would beat ?

Oh, ok. Just you wait a little then. I'm nearly there. ;)
But then again that might take a little more time than anticipated. Please be patient.

A flushdraw OOP wouldn't check-raise? I think it's is plausible at least.
About the high stakes, I'd like to know how they put volume. Pool must be very small and very strong. Are there even any pro cash gamers at those limits? Tournaments is where we can see the vast majority, but I hate tournaments.
I'd like to know how they play. Everybody is solid and has no visible leaks in their games (at least, I expect it to be this way). How do they exploit?

What flushdraw can he have on this runout that would want to check/raise ? Do you think he's come here with, say, Ah5h and wants to x/r it ?
If he has Th9h he has a boat, if he has KhTh he has a solid hand he probably wants to call with more etc and pretty much anything else either hasn't called on the flop or has a pair and doesn't want to turn into a bluff.
Maybe he has AhTh. Or even 9h7h but maybe he doesn't even call that pre etc... you see it's hard to find combos in fact.

The higher the stakes the harder to put volume. That's why they multiroom, use softwares to autosit new players (probably fishes) etc.
Sometimes they wait and have no one to play, other times they must play marathon sessions as long as there is bad players available.
But there still are some "real" fishes, you'd be surprised. A friend playing NL1K told me a billionaire came one night saying he didn't know the rules and only wanted to make flashes (open shove pre). He distributed thousands of euros during several hours while the waiting list of his tables was of course gigantic.
Stuffs like that happen less and less of course. But they still happen.
