Hi,

I planned to shove almost any river. Got cold feet on this one. After seeing villain's hand, couldn't help but feel I missed value. Would you shove despite 4-to-a-straight on the board?

Any comments on preceding streets?

Thanks!

You deal with at least 1 fish in the hand on the flop and I would go for at 1k bet with the intention to shove most turn cards. Fish will call a bigger bet as well and than it's easier to play the hand on the turn I think.

My problem with betting bigger on the flop is that this board misses not only every reasonable hand, but most unreasonable ones as well. As you can see, the villain called the flop bet with just A-high with a backdoor draw. Would they call a 2/3 pot bet with this hand?

I felt that getting money in over 3 streets had a better chance of being called by a weak hand fishes don't like to let go of. Could be flawed logic - and of course there was always the risk of scary runouts, as it happened here. But that was my thinking behind going with the standard sized c-bet

A fish can do it for sure. Otherwise he wouldn't call with Ax in the turn as well.
