[Closed] Ranking method for Cash games?

Hi guys,

We group of friends have a small poker club, and we get together every week to play mixed poker (NL Holdem and Omaha). There's about 15 of us total, and usually 8-10 show up every week.

We want to create some sort of ranking method. Problem is we play cash (not SnG), and we haven't found a fair ranking method for cash games.

We have certain rules such as:
a) There's a single buy-in amount. You can't buy-in a cent more or less. And you can only rebuy the exact same amount, once you're out of chips.
b) You can't cash-out until the end of the night.

Given these rules, it's been suggested that we can use some formulae such as dividing the cash-out amount over the amount of buy-ins, but we're unsure whether that is reasonable.

Any sugestions?

See who ends up with the most money (also who has lost the most) at the end of each month.. like they do on HighStakes DB...

Thanks for your suggestion. But how do we convert that to a fair points-based system?

If it just a cash game, why would you want to develop a points system to go along with it? Not even sure how you would manage that one anyway. Just use Dollars Won as your gauge and keep track of it that way. Never heard of a points system for a cash game.

Just write down every buyin and cash out of every player every night.

No need to only let them buyin once the run out of chips. Thats a bit unfair if its a cash game. They should be allowed to buyin at any time with any amount.

Whoever has the most profit at the end wins.

I play on GGpoker even though it says Pokerstars. None of my hand histories will have villain stats.
