hi,

no reads first hand in the tourney. I think I will flip to often to call. Do you play 3bet call or do you call the raise instead?

Not sure what to think of a 5bb raise in the first place, but I would most likely just call.
I'm not a fan to play a big pot in the first hand and end up flipping or worse if he shoves.

3bet-folding make no sense at all. So call or 3bet-call. Btw is flipping bad thing after you have invested 300 into pot already? 1200 to call for pot of 3050 so you need 40% equity for cEV call. Few percent more including ICM. So lets say we want 44% and we get that versus range of AQ+, 99+. How likely is it... Well we are versus unknown opponent that is very unlikely to be reg (no reg use 5bb open these days I would imagine) so I would personally assume there can be now and then something he should not be really shoving.

Anyway just call this hand if you are not ready to stack off.
