Hi,

I'm still beginning in poker and would any feedback about the play I made with 20BB. We are 12 left (12 places paid). I'm on the big blind with Kh4h. UTG+1 raise 2.2BB. SB calls, I call. Flop 2 hearts. SB checks. I shove all-in. UTG+1 calls. What do you think of that move?
Thank you

Hi Phileasfogg23,
Welcome to the PokerStrategy.com forums! :welcome:

I've moved your post to the discussion forum for Multi-Table Tournaments.

To make your hand discussion posts easier to evaluate I suggest following the guidelines in https://forums.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?postid=1432565#post1432565

If you don't use a tracker, there are some on-line hand history converters that will make your hand history more reader-friendly.

I use the feral cow hand converter. Weird name, but it works...

All the best,
VS

Not sure why you would over shove with only a flush draw. I'm more a fan of a check/call or check/raise line than to risk my entire tournament with a over shove.

Cheers,

Good preflop call but check on flop and aim to check-raise. That way you allow open raiser to cbet with wide range and will get more value from fold equity. If flop is checked you will get to realize equity for free. Also if you did have some strong hands like A8, 33, 22 would you really make this sort of donk shove? Just saying as this sort of line hero took is really often done with draws and rarely with made hands. But even if you would balance this its just not sensible strategy to donk shove with anything having 3xpot behind.
