$0.10 NL - Holdem - 8 players

Hero (BB): 126.9 BB
UTG: 101.9 BB (VPIP: 100.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 2)
UTG+1: 108.7 BB (VPIP: 22.02, PFR: 5.50, 3Bet Preflop: 3.13, Hands: 109)
MP: 37.9 BB (VPIP: 100.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 2)
MP+1: 163.8 BB (VPIP: 40.00, PFR: 8.57, 3Bet Preflop: 10.00, Hands: 35)
CO: 18.4 BB (VPIP: 33.33, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 3)
BTN: 111.2 BB (VPIP: 43.75, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 16)
SB: 111 BB (VPIP: 16.67, PFR: 5.56, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 18)

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has 9♣ 9♦

UTG calls 1 BB, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, SB raises to 3 BB, Hero calls 2 BB, UTG calls 2 BB
Thoughts and questions:

Spoiler

Based on SB stats, I thought he was on the nittier side (regarding his raises).
Because I had position over him, my plan here was to play for set value in a board with high cards and to play for plain pair value in a favorable board (one with low cards).
I guess I would probably 3bet something like TT or JJ against this kind of villain and leave 99 for 3betting a tagish/lagish player.

Flop: (9 BB, 3 players) 9♠ 3♦ J♣
SB checks, Hero bets 5.5 BB, fold, SB calls 5.5 BB
Thoughts and questions:

Spoiler

Well, I hit my set but the board is weird. Sometimes I bet smallish on this board, but, this time, I decided to bet a little bigger.

Turn: (20 BB, 2 players) A♠
SB bets 19 BB, Hero calls 19 BB
Thoughts and questions:

Spoiler

I thought about raising this right away, because the river card could still complete some draws, but if villain has any AX or may a J, I would like he to continue betting OTR.

River: (58 BB, 2 players) 8♣
SB checks, Hero bets 27.6 BB, SB raises to 83.5 BB and is all-in, Hero calls 55.9 BB
Thoughts and questions:

Spoiler

Went for value here, but when villain check/raised that board, I started to think about all the value hands that he could had and that beat me: AA, JJ, QTs. But there still are some hands that I beat, such as: A9, AJ, A8, 88, J9s, J8s. Of course I couldn't recall, at that time, all the hands that I was beating. Only the ones that beat me.
Is this a clear call or a clear fold?

Spoiler

SB shows 6♣ 7♠ (High Card, Ace)
(Pre 16%, Flop 5%, Turn 0%)
Hero wins 213.8 BB

I like it.
His line doesnt make sense. Check/call flop, bet pot OTT and then check/shove OTR? He never has QT, AA, JJ.
Raising polarized bets is not something I understand in depth, so I think that calling the turn is ok.

His line is weird for sure, but folding the river is out of the question for me with a set against a tight passive player. Sometimes you could indeed 3bet pre-flop but against most likely a tight player calling for set value is better for sure :f_thumbsup:
