1) First of all i like the check behind and call any river bet strategy. You still have some SD value against some busted draws. And after your opponent is still betting on such a dangerous board i think a fold is ok here a lot of hands will beat you here so a fold on the river is a good move.

2) well played. By the way you can play here c/r flop bet turn with any 2 cards. This is a very good bluff board.

3) I don't think you have fold equity here. You should check and see what happens. You won't get a better hand to fold on this flop.

4) c/c Turn c/f River against this guy. He seems more passive then aggressive. Against unknown i play c/c c/c. But don't bet the turn. A bet here can have 3 different results:

a) a fold from a hand you would beat.
b) a raise from a hand that beats you
c) a call from a hand you will beat

But actualy most hands weak Qs or Aces will fold here. So a bet is not the best thing you can do here. :) If you just check you can often collet a bluff bet from weaker hands.

And when you bet the turn you can fold to a raise here.

5)

Turn: Hero check/folds! Give up the hand. A call here is a bad sign after the third card of spade comes. Most of the time he is calling with a Flush Draw or a weak Ace or a Pokcet Pair he wants to call down.

there are a few hands about which i disagree with stefan:
1) i think this is a very tough spot, if i wouldn't hold the 3 :spade: for the weak flushdraw thsi would be a definite turn bet for me, because villain has almost always 6+ outs against us and I would hate to call a river bet. He although might fold a better hand like a 7. With the flushdraw though I don't mind taking the freecard since i might have outs but when i check, what is my line on the river for
a) a card that completes straightdraws (amlmost any card > 8)
b) if a spade comes
c) if it is a blank
i think this is a pretty tough decision and really am not sure how i should play that hand so little bit longer explanation of your thoughts would be nice. ;)

3) are you really not continuation betting this flop 3 handed? or did you refer to the turn? I would certainly bet the flop here because i might still have the best hand and don't want to give freecards.

4) i agree with stefan, but there is one thing i would like to add, don't fold the river with the line you used. the guy is an idiot and there is a flush on board and in such a big pot i would call and i think i get teh splitpot often enough. Thoughts about that?

1) of course tough hand. But i think against unknown i dont wont to get a raise here. Giving Freecards HU is much overrated it is not a big problem. So i realy prefer check behind and call (almost) any river. i would also play this line without the Flushdraw.

The problem with this draw heavy board is that we don't get a lot of hands to fold here with a bet after they call the flop.

and i am not sure with the river here also:
Of course call any spade and any blank. Any Card that pairs the board.

But the 8 is such a bad card for us. Every hand containing a card between 6 and J beats us and every K beats us also every other Pocket Pair despite 22 will beat us here.
So only when i put my opponent on a 100% calling range we get the necessary equity that would justify a call here.

3) Actualy no i don't. Perhaps if one player calls and the other folds. But 2 players who call on that flop. thats tough.

4) I like the arguement that he is an idiot
But according to his stats he indeed is.

But here are only 2 possible options the first one is bet/fold turn.
The next one is c/c Turn and c/c river uhm i see i wrote c/f river. My fault.

@ Stefan,

2) c/r Flop, bet turn with ANY two? Why should we do that? He isnt a stealer, raising from MP3.
Wouldnt you just do this line if you have at least some outs?
He mustnt have hit anything, otherwise he will call us down, which costs us 2-3BB (depends if we call the river).
Raising Flop is an absolute standard move on this limit. This isnt impressing at all. Do you really think we have enough fold equity?
HU is much more aggressive than with two opponents.

Please explain!

now i am confused about your statement. Are you betting the flop and check the turn? this would be my line and it would seem absolutely standard to me or are you really not continuation betting the Flop?

Kreatief, c/r with any two obviously only works against a player who is capable of folding, if he is willing to go to showdown with Q high, a bluff isn't very effective. A TAG however often folds hands like AQ after our c/r to a turn bet ui, and that is a pretty strong hand on that board, there are certainly weaker hands that could still beat a possible T high we could hold. We also do have some outs against possible A high hands (3-6) with any two.

1) the problem i see here is that i don't think we are beating villain in 25% of the cases on the river ui when he bets. the board is one that just makes too many pairs possible that beat us. On the river there are lots of cards that just kill us, namely any A, Q, J, 8, 6. With any of those cards hitting our equity goes below 10%. I really don't get the hand, I keep on thinking and I can't get a good definite result on the best line. Any card pairing the board, lower than a 6 and any spade would give us enough equity to call a bet, assuming he bets all the hands in my range or overproportionally many hands that we beat which is a very vague assumption but probably correct since he will c/c some hands.
Without the flushdraw though our equity goes down so much that I really don't think we could call a riverbet very often.
I will think about the hand a little longer and maybe ask Korn about it if I can't figure it out.

@Blinzler i am sorry, of course i mean the turn. my fault

to 1)
I played a little bit with pokerstove. If he is calling in the BB around 50% and reraising with A9+ 66+ and A8s+
I have an equity of 27%. Which would be slightly enough for a call, but:
1) It is not too likely that this opponent is exactly playing that way, and in most other scenarios I have much less equity (usually somewhere around 20%)
2) On the flop he would have folded some hands I have beat on the river
3)If he has a hand I beat, he often does not bet the river
4)Maybe he wouldnt even bet all of the hands that beat me.

If I really do have 27% of equity here, and there is only a 15% chance that he would have folded the flop or not bet the river with a worse hand, a call becomes unprofitable.

So i think my fold here was correct.
