Hero checks, BTN bets 15BB, Hero folds

I think that BTN's range consists of very strong but speculative hands. He would push all-in with AA / KK instead of checking 4-bet. Perhaps he had AK or A2s-A5s or AQ or QQ. Well, it was Thursday evening, villain opened almost half of his hands, but calling 4-bet indicate the intention to grab max implied odds with lucky flop. I play tight from early positions UTG,UTG+1,CO, but loose from button/SB/BB if nobody from earlier positions involved. I hope that everybody noticed that so villain could asses my range for valuable AA, KK, QQ, AK, maybe bluffing A2s-A5s (however I usually do not open small aces from early positions). I would prefer to go all-in preflop with my KK but after A showed up on the flop, I realized immediately that my KK turned into merely second pair what is by any means too weak to invest anymore here. My check indicate either slow playing with AA/QQ or giving up with KK but at the same time it throw away my AK as potential perceived holding. His small bet on the flop looks like donk prob bet or tempting value bet although his whole line of this particular hand was back assward so I wasn't really sure about anything. What I known is the need to reasses value of my hand and do not invest too much with second best hand. His range beats me on this flop. I played check/fold and I didn't give him any fucking cent as an immplied odds.

We could consider similar check/fold with flop like 6♥ A♠ 9♣
This time there is no Q on the flop. Is it possible that he had QQ here? Checking 4-bet with QQ and small betting on flop? If he was blind drunk, why not? I consider QQ in his range here but I personally prefer flatting someones else open bet preflop from Button because QQ plays well postflop with position, it's too strong to earn only 4.5BB, it's too weak for 5-bet. However I can not really remove QQ from his range preflop if he decided to check my 4-bet. Let's take flop like 6♥ A♠ 9♣ and his QQ preflop. He is underdog here. But I check on the flop. He is drunk and he makes whatever. Alright. He is not drunk and he bets 15BB to check if I keep KK? His pot odds are then 15 : 47.5. He needs to succeed only 24% time to be EV+. What is the probability that I keep KK in his opinion? I guess that below 24% if he gives me range AA/KK/AKo but more that 24% if he gives me range AA/KK/AKs. As I mentioned before, he played loose aggressive this Thursday evening therefore my 4-bet preflop could be a bluff for defending against light 3-bet. I needed to 4-bet with some bluff. I wouldn't fold unsuited AK just because LAG gave me 3-bet. I do not believe in his QQ in this particular scenario with flop 6♥ A♠ 9♣

Preflop I think it is ok.
You should also have some speculative hands like 65s-98s.
He can have KK/QQ, some A5s, A4s. AJo, KQo should fold to the 4bet. AQ shouldn't be 3bet/calling a lot.
So when you check here you're mostly representing the speculative hands you have and he could bet the weak Axs small because he believes he has fold equity and his Ax is always dominated. Not flopping the flushdraw advocates for a small flop bet in position imo.

Cbet advantages: you have a range advantage, board is relatively dry, I can't see even broadways draws/made hands (KT, QJ, QT).
Axs have a decision despite having top pair. When you double barrel here on a blank turn you have lots of fold equity imo. The only scary turn card for you is another ace. Can't also see lots of hands he's willing to raise here (besides QQ).

Desadvantages: you won't get called by worse than KK. So when you decide to bet flop, I think you have to bet any turn card basically.

I believe I would plan a double barrel here. I think it is very very weird when you get called twice. QQ will always raise flop/turn.

Isn't his entire stack bonded to the pot as he already invested over 20% preflop and therefore has too good odds to push any made speculative hands? I think that he would look for fold equity with small aces and calling preflop + betting small on the flop doesn't look like trying his fold equity. Is it possible to engage as wide even with KQ to the 4-bet action? Because my 4-bet + my tight play from UTG+1 position put me on specific very narrow range which crush KQ!

Yes I need some bluffing range for 4-bet preflop but villain must be aware that on this stake NL100 I already have trained my 4-bet OOP enough to balance well bluff:value ratio, so it's not statistically profitable for him to try taking advantage of my potential bluffs.

Perhaps he had QQ and checked preflop instead pushing all-in with hope to get overpair on the flop and fold equity. But my range strongly dominate his range with ragged flop. He should to rather push all-in with QQ or flat my 3BB bet preflop.

What is the idea behind checking 4-bet with small aces? Did he prefer to get A on flop and then make semi-value bet or did he prefer to see uncoordinated small cards on flop and then make semi-bluff ? I guess that he prefers to see A. So in this case I do not have fold equity postflop. I generally didn't see my fold equity postflop with this As.

I consider calling 4-bet as bizarre with anything. If he is talented to call 4-bet than he can keep AQ as well.

My intention with check on flop was to don't give him any implied odds - make his speculative call preflop less profitable. I wanted to reasses value of my KK and choose between all-in for value or check/fold for cutting losses.

I looked again on this sentence.
Do you suggest that his reasonable range is KK, QQ, not much AQ?
My KK blocks his KK.
If he keeps QQ than he got monster set so I need to check/fold on this flop.
If he keeps AQ tha he got monster two pairs + he blocks my potential QQ and my potential AA so I need to check/fold on this flop.
