My definition of pot committed is that the player only has two choices. Player can fold or bet/call up to his entire stack. He cannot call and fold later. He cannot bet and fold later. If you disagree with this definition, we can call this an Only Two Choice position rather than a Pot Committed position. Villain played poorly by raising to 11 BB. If he is called by one player, he will have 86 BB stack with a 26 BB pot (86/26 = 3.3 SPR). He will be in an Only Two Choice (“Pot Committed”) position with JJ. This is truly unpleasant. There are 3 out of 13 cards which can ruin his JJ (Q, K, A). One of my All In success factors is that players put themselves in a Pot Committed position with very vulnerable hole cards. I only put myself in a pot committed position with AK, QQ. With KK or AA, I would re-raise. This guy probably thought he was unlucky to run into my set of Queens. No, he was wrong to pot commit himself with only JJ.
