Hello guys,

this is a spot that ruined my tournament recently, 22 players left. Please tell me all possible ways to play this spot the best way. I had 60 hands sample on OPP, 23/3 was his vpip/pfr, did not have any stats about folding to 3bets.

Preflop
Standard 3bet for value

Flop
Bet the flop to get folds from missed broadways or some Ax

Turn
Overcard OTT is a good card for me to barrel, so I do it to get folds from the hands like K8s :f_biggrin: , draws and broadways that are still left

River
Was that the spot for 3d barrel all in? As I invested so much already and flush draws that came here from the flop missed.

I feel that the main mistake there was that I did not notice that my OPP is a fish on time and had to give up earlyer. However please tell me, how to play those kind of spots against reg and fish? Should I give up OTF? or OTT? or going 3 barrels here is fine? or maybe 2 barrels make sense? :f_ugly:

Thanks a lot!

3b pre out of position is too small.

when herois oop - often, but not always, is best for the stack to pot ratio be low.
the deeper the stack in relation to the pot, the more room for the IP player to manouvre and outplay OOP. the smaller this value is, the bigger chance of error. it is difficult to play 3bet pots OOP and I struggle with those myself.

3bet size from the small blind - more. minimum 4ex, preferably 4.5ex, sometimes just 5ex, when stacks are a deeper.

check / fold turn. don't expect anyone to fold because you are oop and eight is rather top of villains range, so do not expect villain to fold anytime soon.

it'd make sense, for me, to 3-barrel hand such as A5dd or A5hh if they happen to be in your 3bet range .

on river, consider having the queen of diamond blocks plenty of the flushdraws villain could potential have., that a bitb of combos: such as JQdd, KQdd, TQdd, Q9dd or even Q8dd.

i know, the situation is real bad.

Yea, u are right, no way to bluff fish here.
If u 3barrel AQo here i think u would bluff too much
I xf flop against both reg and fish, but i guess cbet is ok, but turn barrel w just overs not

3bet sizing seems fine I think. 44k is already more than 3 times the orginal raise.
As played I'm done with the hand on the turn and is giving up better.
I doubt you get any folds that would call the flop already. Especially if he's a weaker player.
