I have been playing since the mid 70's. Played professionally for a couple of years before everything was so well developed. A player from my home game won WSOP main event 1979 but there were only 60 players then. I stopped playing for years. It may sound ridiculous to many of you but I didn't stop because I lost but because I won. I am retired from a successful real estate practice. I live in a small town and was consistently taking money from a small group of players who were playing with the rent money. It wasn't fun, it hurt other people and I didn't need the money.

It is a new day now. I can enjoy playing a very large pool of people who are much better prepared and it is more of a challenge. I am an old school, like a Doyle Brunson, but not his caliber, player. I always understood pot odds and used my own process of determining what I thought the other player had but never heard of a "range" in my life and sure never thought about "protecting my range". It is fun to see and fun to play against all the new tech players. I pick and choose the ideas that work for me. I appreciate you all and look forward to participating.
