I haven't played in the last year but now I would like to play again in Poker Stars. I noticed that HM3 has been released and I am wondering whether I can still use HM2 in Stars or is that now not allowed or possible. Also, is there anything I need to do if HM2 is still available so that I can use it ?

You can use HM2 on Stars without any problems.
Just make sure to use the latest Beta 8673: https://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/Hm2AutoUpdate_8673.exe
Awesome, thank you for the reply. If I have an older version installed would it update automatically or do I need to deinstall and reinstall following the link ?
If you have Beta Updates activated in the settings you are notified and updated automatically.
But its no problem to manually download the update and install it. No need to deinstall anything.
