Hello, everyone ![]()
I haven't been active in the forum and I've been playing poker sporadically with some mediocre results for the past 10 years. Never seriously and never to try and improve and become a winning player.
This has changed now though. I truly think I can learn and master the game, however would that be enough. The fields have become so much harder that 10 years ago, as so many people have a greater understanding of the game (NL hold'em). When you add to that the advanced software used by some people to gain even more advantage, not to mention different types of bots and other scams going around.
So I guess my question is - > Is it possible to start right now from NL5 and just by learning and improving your game to get to playing NL200 and may be get a decent ROI witch would allow you to become a winning player after rake.
You have to understand my goal is not to become some super high roller playing NL1000 or more. All I wanna do is try and beat NL200 but consistently.
- what poker room should I choose? Does it matter?
- Should I focus on a different game type (omaha) or is it all the same?
I would much appreciate some constructive feedback as it would help me focus on what's really important.
Best wishes!
