Button has a huge stack advantage here, and can therefore play a wide range including a lot of mid-pocket pairs, and Ax or even Kx hands which with his stack he can float with.
By the turn he really has to have something to continue with -- unless you minbet and give him a superb price to call.
The aggression got you this pot -- you didn't get a better hand to fold (maybe you did, but I think not), but you prevented him from sucking out OTR
