Hi to all,

Do you guys think that it would be good for Bankroll building.

First play full ring - softer games less variance? And step by step move up..

Once you have your desired Bankroll than switch to 6 max?

Or better just start with 6max Zoom as you can just concentrate at the beginning purely on your play?

What you guys think

key is to stick to your decision and not to open the same thread over and over again.

you can be successfull on any path as long as you put in the hours.

This is the recommended plan.
Play full-ring one or two tables only at first.
While playing, during each hand estimate the players' ranges, and call out your own hand, and speak out loud what cards you need to hit your draws.
Learn to estimate your equity at a glance.

When you can instantly recognize what hand you have, and instantly estimate your opponents range, then you're ready for 6-Max.
When you can do the same things at the same speed on two 6-max tables, add one, then another.
When you can instantly follow 4 six-max tables, try one of zoom.

If you ever get up to 4 zoom tables, let us know.
I can't do it successfully, but then I'm kinda old.

Absolutely agree on that, and I needed first to Fix my mindset to understand it. It is not the GAME it is me...

This is the Beginning from the other BLOG, I will not post all the Blog here. Better just post the introduction and the latest Posts...

Hi to all,

I tried already a couple of Poker formats, some with success and some with -0…My biggest cashes were at MTT…But because of my Job I really do not have the time to play MTT every day, except Saturday and maybe Friday…

Therefore I want to concentrate myself on 6 max Zoom, it is very convenient to play. No need to table select, just sit down and play. Of course on the downside the games are much more tougher.

As the Hotel is now closed where I normally work, I do have now more time to play…

Goal is:

To learn the Game
To play Comfortable on each stake
To climb up the Stakes
Play first only 2 Tables at the same time
Generate a side income from Poker

Playing Time:

Every evening when my daughter goes to bed
In the mornings before the family wakes up (Yes they are loong sleepers :))
Study time, during the day and in the morning when I’m not playing

I know it is a very hard goal to achieve a side income with Poker, but it is not impossible…

Bankroll:

1000$

Stakes – I will start with 10NL Zoom

Resources:

– I have the Elementary Cash Game course, which will for sure help as well with ZOOM

– Need find some good videos on youtube about Zoom Poker.

– Post hands here for discussion

By the way this video yesterday was great…

Hi to all SORRY Guys,

whole week no update at all… I was just busy with working on my Apartment and working on the Reopening projects for the Hotel. So there was no time at all for Poker…

I do not like it at all…

This has to change, I must adjust my time to be able to play Poker.

Good think is:

700 Sit ups

700 Squats

700 Push ups Done!!

But having no time is just a BIG BIG FAIL….

What a Session yesterday, I will share 4 hands later which really killed me…And they all occurred within a very SHORT time, so that I even started to change my Seat in Poker stars because I thought it was cursed…

But than I thought how silly I am and went back to my normal seat…Any way I will post the hands later on here…Now will have breakfast with daughter…

Hand 1:

This Hand, should have been a clear fold. As we see on the Range below…I guess the call on the Flop was ok? But it is a clear Pre-Flop Mistake. Once you make less Pre-Flop Mistakes you will have a much better life on the Flop…

Hand 2:

Pre:

Should maybe better raise to 12 BB, as UTG is raising already and Cut Off just flats.

Flop:

The small MIN Raise should have been a BIG SYSTEM ALARM… I mean once they min raise you (They Have it). At the same time the Flop is so dynamic.

But do you fold KK in this Spot if yes how often?

Hand 3:

Here at the moment I really don’t know how I should play the Hand different? What do we give him UTG?

nice blog.

don't know how to play such a spot, but in practice I tend to call it once and decide the next street with your gutter/straightdraw that is tainted though.

Hey!
In hand 2 you can play some with equilab and put oppo on a range and see if you can call based on your hand’s equity and pot odds

Hand 3 i think you linked the wrong one cause i see the KJo hand

Keep up the good work! ;)

Hey to all here is my Update, it should have come a bit earlier but yesterday after the session I did not want to write as well.

One Punch Man Challenge is going well:

700 Sit Ups
700 Push ups
700 Squats
5km of jogging

For the whole week…

At my job tings are starting to move, we will open the Hotel again on the 29th of May…BUT with very limited Rooms and almost no Food and Beverage. I have written down the Action Plan, lets see how things go…

Poker:

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday I just got crushed in ZOOM… I mean really Crushed…I was than so confused at the end of the day… That I even did not know what to do with my AA…

Thursday morning I switch on my OLD Laptop, and all is gone…Whole Data Base, no more Pokerstars, no Pokertracker no word etc…

Really Don’t know what happened there….So I needed to install all again….

After installing it all again, I started to play Regular 6 max Tables. Because I got so crushed at ZOOM I just wanted to avoid it…

And now I feel much better, I feel good at the Tables. I feel that my decisions and reads (because you sit with the same people much longer together) are right. So Yes I’m going to stick with Regular Tables…Even it is annoying to look a couple of times during the session for new Tables…

I know I wanted to play ZOOM and was not happy with Regular Tables. But hey I feel now it is right…

I wounder if there is a software which can help you with sitting down at the tables, so that you do not loose so much focus while searching for other tables.

Hey man, sounds good, especially your One Punch Man Challenge!

Wish you all the best for the re-opening of the hotel!

As I don’t play regular tables, I don’t really have that experience, but Blackrain’s strategy is actually for Regular tables and he uses Table-Ninja, maybe check out an YouTube-Video?
