Rush facing donk bet on the flop (2 hands)

This is GG poker, no stats on villains

CO: $10.10 (Hero)

Preflop: ($0.15) Hero is CO with Ace of Diamonds (6 players)
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.3, Button folds, SB calls $0.25, BB folds

Flop: ($0.70) (2 players)
SB bets $0.52, Hero ??

I am very tempted to raise these spots but should it be 3x or 4x?
Am also not sure if it is the correct move.
If we do raise, and he calls then checks the turn to us where which we do not hit.. what do we do if a flush draw completes and what if it doesn't?

I ended up folding both situations but feel weak for doing that, especially the second hand. Facing this situation a couple of times per session as seen.

Against a unknown I would just fold against the lead. You only beat a flush draw and especially at the 2nd hand it will be tough to let him fold a top apir hand.
