Why should we not raise the flop to protect our hand?
I'll be facing a 0.6 ish bet on the turn. Raising my hand here is the same as calling that turn bet in terms of money invested. Then I still have to fold the river or check behind

I would fold this preflop vs UTG open 100% of the time. Its not even suited and is hell of a dominated hand vs UTG range. if you want to raise in this spot - it would be great to have the Q of clubs, this way you can bluff turn/rivers if a club comes.

Also, population tend to underbluffs JTx type of boards as they all know this hits very well your flatting range and in majority of the cases, people will check/fold on such flops. this time villian mashes a huge bet. I expect him to be strong and would call flop and if he pots the turn i might do an exploitative fold unimproved.

Thanks, yeah would also fold vs UTG but this was UTG+1/HJ. Still get your point though.
Also on flop play I'll see how I can adjust it for next time
