Should have also tried 20-25bb/100 winrate in variance calculator, as that was Polk's winrate vs the best of the best.

Edit:
Oh, I was speaking out of my ass. His winrate was in fact 10bb/100. I was mistaking Doug with cumicon...

i had similar thoughts :f_biggrin:
negreanu's behavior is odd, which means that we should probably bet on him, if we do choose to bet :) i'm also sitting out of this one, though... could easily be a plan to self-sabotage as well

I don't normally bet on events where I have no measure of control.
Since this one is more-or-less a publicity stunt, I don't care at all what the outcome might be.

It would be very interesting if cards were shown.

Yeah, Doug doesn't wanna tell us what he had even in the post match interviews in his YouTube channel because he thinks he might give something away.
Have you seen Dneg in his channel doing his analysis? He kind of seems edgy to me. Some people were saying it's the effect of anabolic steroids.

The match has not gone so well for Daniel so far. I wouldn't wanna challenge a HU specialist in a HU game.
Wait, didn't Daniel lose like 2 million dollars in "GSN High Stakes Poker"? I wonder how he is doing in his overall cash game portfolio.

I agree. But it is an interesting matchup. One of the world's greatest tournament players against a guy who was universally acclaimed as the best HU player in his time.

I think Daniel does alright in cash games as he has been living in Vegas for years, doesn't appear in the major casino rooms so must have access to a juicy regular private game.

Also remember that Stars had HU challenges a few years ago where Daniel had to take on players like Isildur1, jungleman and W00kie, and he didn't do well.

He likely has a decent investment income as well.

His commentary reminds me so much of "waterboat" who did a bunch of spoof [1] videos on poker strategy

[1] At least I think they were spoof videos

Holy chit. Let's shove QTs vs AA in 4bet pot guys. Go, Doug, Go!! Dnegs better be careful because conservative estimate is that he would lose 1 million dollars if he tilts then he could easily lose 2 to 3 million dollars.
