I think I played this had fairly well -- I'm more curious about your thoughts on opponents play.

No Stats (only 2 hands on CO)
PokerStars - $0.25 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

Hero (BTN): $41.22
SB: $15.17
BB: $89.00
UTG: $102.70
MP: $25.35
CO: $36.64

SB posts SB $0.10, BB posts BB $0.25

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.35) Hero has 5♠:5♥:

fold, fold, CO raises to $0.75, Hero calls $0.75, fold, fold <<Standard calling range

Flop: ($1.85, 2 players) 5♣:3♠:6♣:
CO bets $0.89, Hero raises to $2.74, CO calls $1.85 <<There are two clubs and definitely some possibility of straights, but I'm thinking most likely an overpair that could call

Turn: ($7.33, 2 players) 7♦:
CO checks, Hero bets $3.64, CO calls $3.64 <<Just a turn CBet -- still thinking ovepair, but now getting concerned he might have a 4

River: ($14.61, 2 players) 3♣:
CO bets $13.95, Hero raises to $34.09 and is all-in, CO calls $15.56 and is all-in <<I have the full house, so if he has a straight, or overpairs I'm fine. If he has a better full house (or quad threes) I'm toast, but it seems most unlikely

Hero shows 5♠:5♥: (Full House, Fives full of Threes)
(Pre 55%, Flop 93%, Turn 86%)
CO shows A♠:9♣: (One Pair, Threes) <<No, what is most unlikely is what he held.
(Pre 45%, Flop 7%, Turn 14%)
Hero wins $71.63
Rake paid $2.00

Excerpt from the linked comment
For example PokerStars currently has a promo that requires you to win 12 hands where your hole cards are Ax -- and minimum stakes of NL 25. This might encourage players to play weak aces from positions where they should just fold.

When I saw his hand, and looked at his line, I wondered if he might have been doing exactly that -- trying far too hard to win with an Ace.

What do you think?
Is this sort of thing common at NL 25?

Well played I think of your part. Lucky for you villain makes a optimistic hero call and is possible villain is only playing cash games for the promo. It's a expensive way of playing like this.

Wow that play really makes no sense at all. Yesterday on NL5 I also saw some questionable plays with Ax. And I will admit that I made some lighter plays as well eventhough I shouldn't.

With the promo there is nothing to be encouraged in this hand for villain. Maybe Saturday night drunk? Who knows. Well played hand by you in my opinion.

I can only play NL10 or higher for this promo. That's why i don't play for it.

Well to be completely honest, I know very little about NL 25
The rare times I took a shot at it I failed fairly quickly.
So I thought I would have another go -- but play really tight.
My own stats are 18/16/7 and I make most of my wins with post-flop aggression.

My impression so far is that people are playing too many hands pre, and letting go too soon post-draw.

I'll keep on like this to see how it goes
