Difficult challenges ahead of poker life

I didn’t even think about making money with this, this is just my hobby

I don't have much difficulty in poker, my problem is related to sports betting, after I struggle in poker to win some money, I lose in sports betting in 2 days, I ended up in a situation where I am no longer attracted to watching football matches if I don't place a bet! I will definitely get over it but now I suffer a little because I don't have money in my account anymore. :/

I used to bet on sports, but I realized that to do this successfully, you need to have a deep knowledge of the games, the teams, and so much more.
There are people who know this so well that they can make a living at it. Not me.

I long ago stopped watching pro sports, but that has nothing to do with betting -- just that I found is was a huge time sink. Time I could use for other things I would rather do.

My rule now is: I never bet on anything where I have no influence on the outcome.

I am purely a recreational player. I enjoy playing it, studying it, and playing with all the software

Just curious, was there came a time when things got out of hand and you lost all your money in one day because of too much addiction? Did you consider getting a counselor at that time?
