ZOOM KK facing flop raise

I think you can jam any street, flop I prefer. If he hit any set most like it be the 7's. but you have some back door equity with diamonds and he could just have a bunch of busted str8 and fd draws.

I also feel these are tough hands to play.

I only see 2 options here.
1: either villain is overplaying his top pair.
2: villain actually has a made hand that has you beat.

I know he could be semi-bluffing, but I think that this is a minority of plays I tend to see at the tables.
Because of this, I disagree with jamming this hand. I find that a high varience play (which I personally don't like to play).

Therefore I think you played the hand perfectly well, and your decision to call the river should be based on how often you think he has option 1 or option 2 (which I mentioned earlier)

In my experience I see them flipping over things that have me beat more often.... because yes, I have a hard time folding this hand too.

It's fine if villain has us beat more often then not. We only need to win 25% to make a profitable river call.

I think you'll find vs this line population analysis would suggest villain is very rarely bluffing in spots like these. I'm folding river here.
Also we block some of his bluff combos such as KQ and Diamonds with the Kd in hand. (not that having this makes it a call or fold.)

the runout is very bad.
diamonds missed, but when you think about villain's straight draw bluffs, a lot of them got there... you need villain to bluff with some pairs.

I am open raising 100% of my buttons and I'm opening everything 2.5x (well, it gets rounded off to 2.4 on 5NL). I don't like varrying bet/raise sizes based on the strength of my own hand.

I don't mind it if the guy calls, I'm (almost) always ahead and I have position so I got control over the hand.

Depends on a few factors like stack sizes, table positions and villain image.

But mostly: 4bet all day every day. I'm seeing people just 3bet/call way too often (with all kinds of hands that can't profitably flat) not to 4bet.

fair enough, makes sense to be consistent with the raise sizes and not give any info away on your hand
