In about 4 hours it's gonna be out!
The 1st level will be a 6-max 15-minute fast-fold PKO madness.
After those 15 min - the top 50 players will be left in the tournament and others will be out.
The 2nd stage is 10 tables of 5 players shootout, winner goes to the FT.
The 3rd stage is a normal 10-man Final table with PKOs with Seat Selection and 5-min chess clock.
There are also some daily leaderboards.
Rake is 4% on the $0.25 and 5% on the $1, $3 and $10 levels.

Yup... just as I expected - a cash game player! 
Maybe you will be right, but IDK... 5% rake in a KO format that would attract a ton of weak players seems good.
It's better to try it out and lose a little than risking missing out on potentially free $$$

The second stage isn't all in every hand, it's a normal play shootout + bounties.
Played a bit because I got hyped when I saw I was 2nd on the $0.25 Leaderboard. It turns out it's a Weekly Leaderboard for $45, not Daily :transpire::transpire::transpire:
Managed to get 1st, 3rd and 10th which put me +15BIs.
Yeah, it's tilting on the second stage when you get to HU with decent skill and big stack advantage and the guy manages to win every all in. You can call it Spin on steroids 
I guess, it's a good bankroll builder together with Flip n Goes + Leaderboards and Rakeback if you are starting with 10-20$.
Other than that... Meh.

depending on how popular they are i assume they might add higher buyins later
Dan Blizerian is discusting. new format is discusting. but u will see tons of articles about how great this new format is.
I understand you don't like it.
I haven't seen that many articles on it one way other the other.
But if you don't like it, don't play it.
