UTG Opens, we 3bet from SB with AQ suited. Flop comes 6 Q 9 with 2 clubs. I lead for 1/3 pot size bet, but think it's a mistake as the board is wet, Think I've should of went for 2/3 pot size bet here with Top pair. UTG raises us, to all most 3x our bet size and we call. I don't like re-raising here as they can have some 99s and maybe 66s as well as AA and KK. AA are unlikely as we have a blocker for that, but KK could very well be in their range. Turn comes 3 of spades that doesn't change the board here. I check and UTG bets around 1/3 pot size here. I think checking here is a mistake again, as they will have some 10J of clubs and some A high flush draws as well, so we should be betting the Turn our selves. I called their bet and river is 5 of clubs and completes a flush. I check again and villain leads for roughly 2/3 of pot and I called.
I think now I should fold, but I ended up calling as I kind of autopiloted this hand. Obviously the hand is played incorrectly, so my question is what would be better play on flop and Turn?

As played maybe jam flop, can get called from KQ, possibly QJ, and some nut flush draws or KTcc,JTcc or do the flush drawsjust call the small bet on the flop do you think? Obviously sets are in his range on the flop but we block QQ,

Shoving flop seems really tricky. I think we are still to deep to doing this and you take a huge variance spot with in mind you get only action of the flush draw or a better hand if you would do that.

Sizing flop could be around half pot, but I wouldn't Cbet much more. As played I would fold the river most likely. Decent change you beat now with in mind the flush came. Flop and turn play seems fine.

Another option would be to call pre-flop in the SB to keep the pot small out of position. AQs has decent playability post-flop and you playing pretty deep here.

Cheers,
