Hi there. I just played a hand where I lost to JJ w AA.

Hero 200BB A♣:A♦: (MP) vs Villain 200BB J♥:J♠: (BTN)

Hero raises to 3BB, Villain 3bets to 9BB, Hero 4bets to 25BB Villain calls

J♣:4♥:8♦: pot 50BB
Hero bets 22BB, Villain calls

Turn 8♥:
check, check pot 98BB

River T♣: pot 98BB
Hero bets 34BB (I don't know why, to induce bluffs or something) Villain jams 144BB

I call and loose a +-400BB pot.

I was very suspicious because of the 4bet flat pre by Villain so I considered checking out of position on the River since I checked Turn. JJ is in his range a lot there as well. The more I think about it the more I could've folded here. I would've lost the minimum with a fold.

I'd love to hear your thoughts. Is this just a cooler or can I avoid getting stacked here?

Cheers

poker is getting hard everyday. i am pretty sure he would just call even with queens.

Could be indeed, but after villains raise on the river you need to fold most of the time.

This is nice spot where you want to be on side JJ. Hit set and guy wit AA on low board is giving anction. Than simply call down with FH and jam on the end.

bet turn/ jam river

get all the moneys in case he has AJs or QQ-KK and protect your hand on the turn vs KQhh or 77

if you have AA in a 4 bet pot 200bb effective, you're going to have to go broke (unless board comes KQJ or t98 or similar)

So have a look at the board run out....

write down all combos which beat you.... and i mean all

Than make up a reasonable range for villain...
200bb deep might be little bit looser than 100bb and contain more speculative hands...

Than go through the hand street by street and have look at the range, which hands are in villains ranges on which street...
