Hello,

Do you think I played this hand correctly and is it better to just push preflop in such spots?

Too early for a shove with AJo from such an early position I think — but I'm no expert.
The raise is right I think.
OTF CBet is good, and on that runout, the rest is quite correct.

I disagree with Vorpal here - To me its a clear shove.

14 bb's is an akward stacksize to play postflop - often you just have 1 shot at the pot, unless you wanna "emty the clip".

I did plug the hand into the ICM trainer by pokertrategy (plz - som expert correct me, if the setup of the hand is wrong).

AJo is well within the ICM shoving range here

Shoving is profitable for sure with AJo as 2nd short stack. If the table is tight you can min raise and her-evaluate on further action. Against a passive table I prefer a shove with in mind you could get in some awkward post-flop situations if you miss.

As played I would go for a small Cbet of around 180 and her-evaluate on further action. Now you are hoping to get a free showdown.

take the easy decision on micros. Just shove and enjoy the plus ev for. Dont bring youself in spots were you can mess up. Try to avoid that in general for startes and choose the lines you know are plus ev
