Recreationals often adjust their sizing to strength of their hand so I would call. I expect to lose a lot but fish is capable of playing KJ/AJ this way.

The river is more like a dirty out. Read less I would fold the river, but if villain likes to over play Jx a call isn't to crazy.

I try to do the same — but in the opposite direction.
So 1/3 to 1/2 pot with strong made hands, 2/3 to 3/4 with semi-bluffs.
I'm only playing up to NL 5 though. I don't do total air-balls at all. (Well, not often anyway :coolface: )

If you only look at your own hand to make value bet then your opponent can exploit them. It's kind of like a Mickey Mouse run in a Nine Ball Game. Anyone can run a table if all the balls are right in front of all the pockets.
