I know I'm behind but how to determine his range on the Turn in order to check my equity? :f_grin:

PokerStars - 15/30 Ante 4 NL - Holdem - 9 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

Hero (BB): 1,534
UTG: 1,329
UTG+1: 1,554
MP: 1,222
MP+1: 1,638
MP+2: 1,447
CO: 2,010
BTN: 1,757
SB: 1,009

9 players post ante of 4, SB posts SB 15, Hero posts BB 30

Pre Flop: (pot: 81) Hero has 9♣ 7♣

UTG raises to 75, fold, fold, fold, fold, CO calls 75, BTN calls 75, fold, Hero calls 45

Flop: (351, 4 players) 7♥ 3♣ 6♥
Hero checks, UTG bets 351, CO calls 351, fold, Hero calls 351

Turn: (1,404, 3 players) J♣
Hero checks, UTG bets 899 and is all-in, fold, Hero?

97s type hand make good defence from BB versus tight ranges though as it doesn't really overlap with that range. Also CO and BU are usually heavily weighted towards higher cards.

But on this hand we should just fold flop to this action. UTG is potting versus three players and get call. I don't really put much faith in our top pair being good here. Only 4 turn cards where we improve lot and some where we have to stack off but not jumping out of joy.

As played we need bit below 30% equity to stack off. Villain opening UTG and playing like this has often overpair or flush draw like AT-AK, KQ, KJ of hearts. Versus most of those pockets we have 14 outs giving 30% equity and versus fd we are ahead.

So in short I would recommend. Call preflop, fold flop and as played call turn.

Pre-flop seems interesting to defend with a suited 1 cap hand. Normally I would fold if it wasn't multi way, but now you need to be careful post-flop.

Against a pot size bet on the flop I need really good reads to make a call profitable and if you call you can't fold the turn with the extra flush outs to win the hand.

Cheers,
