I have been experiencing a problem I have had with this software for a long time. It gets into these cycles where no matter what I do, the other side ends up winning with, in many cases, very poor hands initially. What is really annoying is that many times I will get into a situation where I have a good hand, i.e., pocket kings or queens and even aces, and the other side had a poor hand but is aggressive. It gets into an all in scenario and it turns out the person had a very poor hand but with the remaining community cards that are dealt they get a flush, three of a kind, four of a kind, or a straight. This happens so often I have to wonder if there is an error in the Wilson Software that produces the remaining community cards, or if this is what is to be expected in a real game. Can anyone tell me if this is actually what to expect in a real game?

First off, I'm not at all familiar with Wilson Software Tournament Holdem
Is it this one? https://www.pokerteam.com/wilson-software-poker-games.html
If it is that one, it appears to be a trainer, and if so anything is possible.
One thing you might do is to download Equilab (there is no cost to you to use the regular version)
You could use it to check the equities in the trainer.

It certainly does happen. Poker is a long term game though, and if you get it in with the odds in your favour, you will win in the long run.
Hopefully the software you're using will help you understand pot odds and drawing odds.

Thanks. The link to Wilson correctly goes to the Wilson software but the one I have is specifically for tournament holdem. One can set the blind and anty structure and the skill level of the virtual players, but it is not a training software, except if a skill level is chosen that is less the the most skilled, after a hand the cards of the other players are shown, but not otherwise. It doesn't give odds or suggest whether one's play was good or not. It would be helpful if it did. The software that can be downloaded in the link you gave would be good to have, but Wilson stopped at XP. I could get my tournament program to run in Win 7 by creating a virtual XP, but on Win 10 I am out of luck. I still have a Win 7 machine and so I can still play it.

It sounds interesting, and I would give it a try, except that I don't see what would be gained from it.

The Wilson software in general is very unrealistic, but as far as I'm aware they aren't influencing the luck. They are unrealistic in that even the 'good' players are entirely too predictable and exploitable. The players are likely sucking out on you with the expected frequency.
If you can't absolutely crush the Wilson TTH players, then you really need to work on your fundamentals.
