Playing GTO at NL 50 implies that other players are paying close attention
At those stakes, I think I would use the GTO ranges, and tighten up the bottom end — in other words, drop the weakest hands from the GTO range.

RFI ranges are only half the battle — knowing what the 3Bet/Fold and 3Bet/Call and 3Bet/Shove ranges become more important above about NL 10.

My recent knowledge only includes/applies to NL2->NL10. But allow me my 5cents and do what you think is best with my opinion (likely disregard it).

GTO targets to reduce your exploitability by villains, but considers there's a GTO alike opponent. What does it mean:
It means it designs a balanced range to play against a balanced range.

A little more detail, with specifics...
Imagine a BTN Vs BB situation. GTO considers a wide range for BTN to open. Consequently, it defends wide also, either by 3betting, or calling. Think about a 3bet defense...
If BTN GTO opens wide, BB GTO will 3bet light, thus BTN GTO can 4bet a little lighter than usual, or call wider also (frequency should be considered).

Now, try to apply this in NL2 game...NL2 has a very polarised pool. Tight players will 3 bet you tight regardless of position, whales can 3bet/shove loose. You need to know what player you have in the blind, before you consider the action. You can't apply ine-size-fits-all GTO OR.

First, focus on trying to expand/reduce common OR charts against specific opponent types. Only when you get to a situation where most of the players are regs, you need to start balancing your range and that's when, I'm, GTO comes as a necessity.

I am very interested in 3nduranc3 opinion in this, as I think he's running a 90%+ GTO play challenge and started in NL2, currently in NL5.

This. Exactly this is what I should be doing. There's no reason to be balanced on micro's at all and we just want to play as exploitative as possible to maximize our win-rate and get out of micro's asap.
