It felt weak but the all in was unusual from this player so I had him on a high pair. Was this a stupid fold?

Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

$400/$800 No-Limit Hold'em (4 handed)

Known players:
[tg]BU$12495.00:///////;SB(Hero)$3165.00:///////;BB$2165.00:///////;CO$2175.00:///////;[/tg]
Preflop: Hero is SB with A:c, K:s.
CO folds, BU raises to $12470, 2 folds, BU gets uncalled bet back.

Final Pot: $0.00.

there's something wrong with the converted hand; no stacksize for SB

at first sight it looks like an easy call, you have only 4 BB so you're getting insane odds from BB.

There is something wrong, I was SB. I tried converting the hand again but it came out the same

there is no SB this game - you all have together 20 000chips (he fall out last game from BB)
ye easy call AK is a monster here with less than 5BB
his range can be here Ax,Kx imo

No, as I said, I was SB. The player with 2165 was BB. We had been 4 handed for 3 or 4 rounds so I don't know why the converter isn't doing it right.

I'm surprised you two see it as an easy call, maybe I'm just too cautious but I would need QQ, KK or AA in this situation. Thanks for the input though.

wow you are right - we have to fold here - hmm nice hand we are in bubble.
sng wizard:
pushing range BU - 26%
calling range SB HERO -1,4% QQ+

this is becose BB have to call very often here - and we are in money - its better like call this with AK - imo

Hi all,

I'm still kind of confused about this hand. What exactly is going on? Can someone post the unconverted version?

Short answer is if we're in either SB or BB (ie we have to pay x00 chips), I think we have to call. Otherwise, fold.

OK I edited it to how I think it should be. I just tried to convert the three hands before this one and none of them is showing a SB. I'll raise a ticket.

Hi all,

Ya I fold here. We're on the bubble so our stack size after putting in the SB is still too large to call off with AK. Sucks, but oh well.

Not sure I can find a fold even on bubble. BU has nearly two thirds of chips in play and can afford to push people around. He knows it is bubble time. If I were in his position I would be shoving wide every pot. Everyone else folds, the game is pretty much over before bubble bursts.
Does SNGwiz take this into account?
I take my shot with AK.

sng lizard agrees: it's -$EV for every pushrange from BU (assuming normal call/overcallrange for SB)

So calling is -$EV, buth calling and winning does give you an extra edge here: you can miss with the two other shortstacks.
This extra edge isn't really big here, because you don't have THAT much FE vs. the shortstacks. Folding sounds best.

ya even if he's pushing ATC we have to fold. That's the beauty of SNG structure: the difference between bubbling and scraping ITM is MASSIVE.
