PokerStars - $0.05 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BB: 134 BB
Hero (UTG): 73.6 BB
CO: 129.8 BB
BTN: 392.6 BB
SB: 104.4 BB

SB posts SB 0.4 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has Q♦ Q♠

Hero raises to 2.4 BB, fold, fold, SB raises to 10 BB, BB calls 9 BB, Hero calls 7.6 BB

Flop: (30 BB, 3 players) 3♠ J♦ 3♦
SB bets 13.2 BB, fold, Hero calls 13.2 BB

Turn: (56.4 BB, 2 players) J♣
SB checks, Hero bets 50.4 BB and is all-in, SB calls 50.4 BB

Villain seems to be a reg.

I think that this was pretty poorly played from me ...

First of all, I realized I haven't had auto-rebuy on at this table, hence I'm only 70BB deep.
Turn is a poor card for me. I'm only ahead of AQ (few combos), AK, and maybe 88/99/TT. I think smaller pocket pairs will call and if AK folds, I'm happy as well.
Thus I see a bet on the turn. I felt like given my small stack, the money may often go in anyway. In hindsight, I prefer maybe a bet of 15-20BB and fold to a c/r - because I don't think any reasonable player would bluff-cr when I have only 30BB behind.

What do you think? How would the hand change if I had 100 BB or if we were even deeper?

First off — never play with less than 100 BB on the table. If your poker site doesn't offer auto-top-up, then do it manually when you drop to 80.
The reason? Hands like this. Pre-flop you want to jam, but with only 3/4 of a stack, it will be hard to isolate down to one player.

As played, raise the flop.

When the J hits OTT you'll only get called by better, so I think checking it back is wise.

I'm interested to read what others think though...

On Pokerstars it's easy to automatic reload you're stack. Pre-flop I would go all the way for 73bb effective. You don't want to play QQ multi way and you are in front against villains 3bet range. Off course the call of the BB is a little bit strange on the 3better without closing the action.

If you would play 100bb effective I would most likely 4bet around 30bb in position and call a shove.

Post-flop I wouldn't mind the call in position on the Cbet. If you raise it would be a shove and there aren't to many weaker hands that would call except maybe AJ. KJ and QJ wouldn't 3bet pre-flop I think. Turn is a tricky card and most likely a blank. You can also check behind and value bet the river if villain checked again. If villain would bet the river you can bluff catch.

Cheers,
