What would you do with this JJ?

You play sounds normal.
A good play is a good play regardless of what comes later.
Without knowing the rest of the cards on the flop, turn and river, no-one can say for sure, but it is hard to get away from a set.

You can post the hand from pokercraft here so we can see the full hand history and give you a more accurate feedback. It's important to know all the facts before we give our input, but as VorpalF2F said sometimes is hard to get away from a set.

Without stack information it's tough to give feedback, but in general I would try to get all the chips in the middle as well with a set on the flop. Just a unlucky hand in the end.
