villain unknown, i was sitting at an empty table, waiting for action and he showed up. maybe played ~5hands so far.
pre i think standard, no other solid option.
flop decided to check behind, trying to gain some equity or maybe can take a stab on later streets on a spade f.e.
blocking direct flush draw and facing a check, stabbing flop might be an option too, to protect against overcards, might be actually the better option.
think turn cant fold with double gs and as played look villain up on the river is ok too, discounting his fds :f_p:

shortstacked Im not very fit so I might be wrong but I would bet vs check OTF. since you have a pair in your hand you have less outs for following streets so you dont realize too much eq by checking.

frequency wise he does not cbet much on these flops. in the rare cases he checkraises we are toast and can give up happily.

as played I think I would have played the same lines but calling a potsize bet OTR vs unknown is really ugly. the spadeblocker in your hand dont justify this call alone so I see resonable player folding OTR.

Hand where Vision doesn't really help us a lot.

60bb deep, and opponent uses sizing on the turn that is not favored by solver. I checked this 100bb deep, although there is no T42ss board in Vision. So I had to improvise a little, I used T52 board and A877 hand to give similar backdoor straight possibilities. Solver plays it the same way pre and flop, but on the turn it calls 1/3 sizing and folds to a 3/4 sizing. Here opponent bets 50%.

Preflop is a call, and on the flop I can't see why we would do anything else than check. Turn sizing is weird, but then again his initial stack size is weird too. We should have 6-10 outs. We might have even more, but then again we might have even less. What ever the case is, we need implied odds. We also have reversed implied odds like here if he has the flush. He also might have something that we beat if an Ace comes, so I think call is justified.

On the flop though that check seems like "I have something but not that great" or "I have a monster!". If he had missed the flop, that is a good flop to just bet. Unless he is recreational who only bets when he has something. But if he has something, that something could easily be a flush draw. On the river he should have either a pure buff or a flush. Would be a bit weird to pot with a set or 2 pairs. So the question is which one is more probable with all the information we have?

This was 6th hand or so, did he start with 100bb? Did you start with 100bb and won 60bb already? Did he reload? Was he really passive or did he use betting more in those 5 hands? Is this the first 3bet from him? Even as you have a sample size of 5 hands, those 5 hands can include a lot of information. The more there are pieces to suggest he is a bit-more-passive-recreational, the more I think he has the flush there.

he joined with 51bbs, iirc. had a decent aggressive impression so far, ranging more in likelihood from decent tag to overaggressive. no open limping or stuff like that but nothing too noteworthy happened until then.
i also just find a sim for btn vs sb 50bb 3bp on T52ss. there we would actually bet with the fd blocker vs check. (but in game i thought using small sizing could be too ineffective and bigger sizing as well^^)
villain should also bet a lot except he's crushing the board. check flop bet turn for that size was also more that he's shying up with medium overpair, weak made hand. so i still also saw some opportunities to take the pot down at the river without set/straight.
river against a guy who was very passive so far would be a fold, maybe even consider fold turn, as you say. but my impression and his line was not in that neighborhood.

Yeah, as you probably put A766 as your hand. It connects a bit more with board than it would on T42.

true story
was checking now with a877. then it's 50/50 with bdfd
but then villain would fold also 50% against my 1/3 sizing, where i don't think average unknowns recs would fold so much against that sizing. that's why was choose to check.

I think in 3BetPot with a flushblocker card, that's a good call.

Well played
Probably turn fold. Not enough equity counting the flush Draws

Flush with the sidecards is realistic... (River OnePot Bet) :f_love:
