Total unknown 3bet pot dry flop with little equity

Why are you leading flop?

I do not like the flop lead. On this dry board villains AA/KK-heavy 3bet range is incentivized to bring a cbet against which we can continue to play our hand. It´s a high frequency checking flop in this situation. With sth. like K54x or Kxxx 2bdfd no Ace you can go for a check-raise but here we´d like to see if our hand might redraw to a flushdraw ott so check-call is best imo.

As played I think we should bet-fold against the raise. It´s more likely villain has a made hand that has us beat rather than semi-bluffing a low draw straightdraw or air. With the A♦: we are holding a reverse implied out also blocking our own improvement possiblities to 2pair, otherwise it might be an implieds call with the 2bdfd and the gutshot. For this reason we might rather folding unpaired Axxx hands that are disconnected pre. The double-suited makes it close from a GTO perspective but to avoid bad plays postflop against a range we are dominated you might better start out folding non-premium Axxx hands against 3bets especially oop. The turn fold is good.

Our hand is indeed bit too strong to not continue on preflop or flop. But I would check my whole range here because it's rare we have AA beat and times we do we have to protect our check range. It's very good flop for villain range so we should expect lot of cbets.

It's also flop where we may want to slowplay some sets as x-c though if villain pot cbet it's often fine to just shove. Because people usually don't have bet-folds when they pot.

No one believes in strong hand when you donk that dry flop.

As people often cbet very often after 3bet, I would check quite often in hu 3bet pots. Only when opponent is good enough to check back on flops, I start to use donks. But even then very selectively.

At small stakes I am quite sure we can simplify and just check our whole range always in 3bet pots oop on the flop. As a default.
